Vendors Required to Update for Access to Electronic Procurement System

(Washington, DC) This summer the Office of Contracting and Procurement will begin electronically issuing purchase orders to suppliers through the newly installed Procurement Automated Support System (PASS). OCP is contacting suppliers to update information, which will enable them to continue receiving procurements and solicitations. OCP is asking suppliers to rapidly respond when they are contacted.

In early 2002, the District of Columbia launched the Administrative Services Modernization Program (ASMP), a business transformation project that will modernize back-office operations for the District's key administrative functions, including procurement. OCP will be the first agency to experience the cutting-edge features and tangible benefits of ASMP with the upcoming implementation of the PASS system. OCP will soon deliver services to its customers in a swift and seamless manner, taking advantage of automated systems, unprecedented access to information, and enhanced processes and procedures.

For more information suppliers are invited to contact the Office of Contracting and Procurement at (202) 727-0252.
